Everyone, dear ones, in life comes to a crossroads. Some come to many; but everyone comes to at least one. That crossroad does not necessarily coincide with materialistic crossroads. But sometimes it does. For example, sometimes it comes at the same time that you have to make big decisions about where to live, where to work, who to be with, various kinds of decisions. But often this crossroads comes when everything seems to be going along normally. The nature of this crossroads is that is really a Titanic struggle inside the self.
It is very important to respect that, even though your life seems placid on the surface, inside there are deep transformations constantly happening. And also, its important to remember that, even if you feel you are being tortured by the transformations on the surface, they are really nothing in comparison to the deep inner transformations that are happening all the time.
Your awareness of how you are growing is very small because so much of you is not visible to you. And so much of your natural awareness is not in your mind. So, how your soul is changing, how your higher self is changing, these things are not necessarily in your conscious awareness. But it is possible to receive hints and glances about what is happening.
But one must be very humble when thinking about the higher self, because ultimately the higher self means that you are your lower self. And that you are not all that there is to you.
It’s one thing to acknowledge that the universe does not revolve around you, and that there is a force beyond you. It’s another thing to say: “That force is also me. The force beyond me is me.”
It’s a very difficult thing. It humbles you in multiple directions. It makes you aware that you are not the sole creator of your day, and your circumstances. And it also makes you aware that you have no right to say, therefore, you have no power. That, because there is a higher power, you are powerless. That is not true. You must accept your lack of complete power over all aspects of everything.
For example, you cannot turn the day to night right now. You do not have that power. But at the same time what turns the day to night, and night to day is your highest essence of your power. And so, you almost must confess that you, yourself, are responsible and in control of the world and the universe you’ve created— even though you have to accept that you cannot control its grossest detail.
There are things that an ant cannot control that you can. For example, an ant cannot lift this [Eon picks up a bowl]. It’s too heavy. To an ant the idea of lifting that is just as tremendous as the idea of your turning day to night. It’s just unthinkable. The ant would never even ponder how to do it. So, what is possible for you is not possible for some other creatures.
