The world is composed of people, like layers of fishes in the ocean There are those that sleep on the bottom. They are so far from the light that all the water around them is dark, cold and heavy. And their sleep is deeply slumbrous.
There are those who have opened their eyes and are swimming to the faint light they see filtering through the water. Those who swim upward in this manner go closer and closer, and the farther they go, the brighter the light becomes. The more firmly fixed is their course. They sometimes move up or down, sometimes together and sometimes alone. Sometimes in schools and sometimes not. Sometimes they are caught in nets, but they are moving.
And there are those, dear ones, who have left water because they have been so firmly fixed upon their goal that they have felt no longer any need to be contained within the realm of the physical world. They have gone directly to the light they seek and crave.
The people of the world are in these three classes, dear ones. There are those who are completely asleep. You see them. They are they who deny purpose or meaning in life. They may indulge in pleasures strictly for their own gratification. But more often than not they eschew pleasure, run from the joys of the world and sink into deep catatonia, spiritually speaking. They are dead. But they are awake-able because the dead can be awakened.
You all have known this experience. Let there never be a human soul on Earth who feels superior to another because they are interested in the spirit and in their perfection. Dear Ones, at heart you know what we speak because you have lived on Earth before as one. It is a part of the path of a human to spend time asleep. And then to waken.
