Your Role in the Political Process

Universal Spirit,

Please come now into this space

Touch each being with your peace and your protection

Open every heart and mind to the deepest truths that lie within

Ah, we've been wondering dear ones, what are the deepest truths that lie within? If you really knew what you were opening your hearts and minds to, you would not do it. So, it's hidden from you mercifully.

There are many things in life to be grateful for, and one of them is that one does not know what those deepest truths are. One doesn't know with the mind. One knows here [gesturing to the heart], Eh? That is an easy thing. But it is with the mind where you could really get into trouble, if you knew what the deepest truths were all about.

The mind likes to eat truth and spit out falsehood. And if it had its jaws on the deepest truths that lie within you, the mind would indeed make mincemeat out of your own salvation. So, it is a good thing for your mind to remain ignorant of some kinds of knowledge.

We ordinarily would not use such a contraption [formal looking podium] as this, but because this is the subject of political talk we will use it as a prop of a sort, because it emphasizes a certain number of things, we want to talk about tonight with you, dear ones.

One of them is distance. There’s a great deal of distance between someone standing behind a thing like this [Eon comes out in front of the podium] and you. And that distance is protective toward the person behind it. But it is also concealing. You will never know the person who stands behind a thing like this. You will never ever know. And so we only want to spend a moment here. Then we’ll return to this [Eon walks to a piano stool]. And, dear one, that may involve you fixing some of the electrical stuff.

But we want to emphasize to you, dear ones, tonight, how important and how critical it is, indeed, for you to be feeling that the political life of your society is your life to own. Your life to have, and your life to enjoy.

Ah. You can enjoy politics. You can feel vitalized and rejuvenated by the experience of participating in social contexts. It is critical actually, vital for your life, that you align yourself with one another, as a civilization. And that alignment is called politics.

You have a social connection to one another because you are all together, Children of the one True Source. But being such perfect creations, such perfect individual creations, you feel that you are separate from each other. And to retain that family feeling, to retain your sisterhood and brotherhood with your fellow humans, you must engage in politics.

What you have called “politics” as a society is not necessarily what we would call politics. What you have called politics is an approximation of real politics. Just as the human mind approximates everything that is Divine.

God has sent terror; you feel fear. God has sent rage for your enjoyment; you feel angry. God has sent rivers of grief to cool you; and you feel sad. The human mind has substituted its own very ineffectual and unhealthy creations for the Divine gifts. And among those is politics.

God has sent politics to unite you. And you have created political parties. God’s political party is an ongoing festival of love. Your political parties are start and stop affairs of over-indulgence, bitterness, success, victory, defeat. All the kinds of things the human mind eats up like mad. None of which matter to God, and none of which matter to the heart.

Tonight, we want to tell you how to rise above all of that. How to get beyond this tremendous barrier between you and real politics. The politics of love, the politics of caring, the politics of your human race advancement and survival. It is absolutely critical that every single person in this room, and every single person in this world, do their political part in their society. Without every single one, you would be in a situation very much like the elephant named Horton. You know that one, heh? Without every voice, he would have indeed lost his precious speck of dust to the beezlenut oil. Rah Rah.

That is one of the most divine and inspiring of all television programs: Horton Hears the Who.

There are many lessons because the creator of that program, the producer of that program, fell into a trance when making it, and was completely inspired by various angels and other spiritual beings to create an entertainment for children that would convince them to do their political part. To stand up for truth, even in the face of intense opposition and torture. We must not pass over the word torture. Even though this is a cartoon television show, Horton experienced torture. That is no cartoon.

How many people, as we speak to you now, are suffering torture at the hands of their fellow humans? How wrong and how awry has politics gone, when that which should be binding one together to another with love, instead is causing one to inflict cruelty beyond belief, beyond measure. How wrong! That is the measure of how wrong it has gone. The very presence of torture in your world is proof of what a failure the human mind at creating a Divine world.

We will move to the stool now, if you’d like to help a little bit, we’d really appreciate that. There are many electrical things here. Politicians find them very important. Ah, very important. Without them they cannot get their message across. What then is their message, if it cannot be gotten across to you with this [Eon gestures to the heart], and must be gotten across with this [tangle of electrical cords and microphones]?

Politicians are not ministers of love. They may be, but they are not necessarily. Whereas politics, as God speaks of it, is the politics of love, and all politicians in that realm are ministers of love. It only takes a moment.

It’s heavy [attempting to liberate Eon from the podium he began speaking from].

Yes. It’s a very big barrier. You can attach this on here. Loop it around this thing. Right there. [Eon laughs]. 

Where we are currently residing, there is no such thing as politics, because we are in love. If there was no need to create that bond there would be no politics. But since there is a need; there is a politic.

Now, we have been lately watching the way that you drive. You sit— you know what a rabbit does when it is sitting by the side of the road? No cars for miles. It wants to cross the road. It waits until a car comes close. Then it darts out in front and takes its life in its hands. Now, what is that rabbit thinking as it darts across the road? It's not thinking, “Oh how smart and clever I am!” It's not thinking, “I'm fourteen feet ahead of that car, and I can run fifty-three feet per second, and so I'm going to miss it.” It's just thinking, “Aaahh,  Aaaahh, Aaaahh, Aaaaahh,  Aaaahh!” Likewise, when you are sitting at a turnout, or merging on your freeways, you don’t tend to think much. But instead, you wait until the wrong moment and dart out, and then look in your mirror and say, “Aaaahh, Aaaahh, Aaaahh, Aaaahh, Aaaahh!” 

Oh, dear ones, many of you enter into politics, like you enter into traffic. Much of your political system as you know it, actually is very similar to your traffic system. You have people tail-gaiting. You want them to get off your tail. You have other people, not even looking where they’re going. You think, “You are stupid! Look, look where you're going!” Sometimes you will see people heading right toward a disabled vehicle, staring right at it, but not seeing it, until at the very last moment, brakes, “Aaaahh, Aaaahh, Aaaahh, Aaaahh, Aaaahh!” 

You’re divorced from your automobiles, and you’re divorced from your politics. To blend the two is to achieve a blending in both areas, dear ones. So, we will help you. Because, tonight, everyone has a mission in the world. And tonight, your mission is to get home safely. So, we will help you tonight, by blending politics with the big “P,” the Divine politics, and politics with the small 'p', the human level politics. Hopefully, to blend the two so they are only one thing. And then you’ll drive better!

It has recently been a holiday for many of the people who are followers of the Christian faith. The holiday is the most critical one in the year period of festivals for the Christian faith. Some agree with that statement. Some do not. But we feel that it is true. The reason that it is so critical is that it marks the fulfillment of the life of the one who is known in the history as Jesus the Christ. And since it marks the fulfillment of that one’s life, for those who follow this particular religious faith, it is important for them to understand that the essence and the meaning of Jesus, and Jesus’ passion, which means his suffering at the hands of torturers, was not simply a matter of him experiencing great pain, and, therefore, making him great.

If someone adores Jesus, because he was tortured, they are likely to be interpreting his life quite incorrectly. And they are also likely to be sending an unconscious prayer into the world for others to experience torture. So, it is important to monitor one’s thoughts very carefully on the subject, especially as it intersects with religion, and, dear ones, tragically that intersection has occurred so many times in your world.

Jesus the Christ was an historical figure who really lived. It is not a fantasy. And the life of the Jesus is not hardly recounted to you in writing, in legend, as it comes to you. You get one, one-hundred fiftieth of the beauty of that life. But that life’s meaning was not wrapped up in torture. It did not experience torture as a great thing. It instead experienced its own self as great, while it suffered torture. There is a great distinction; Jesus was merged in bliss. And, therefore, nothing that the torturers tried to do caused pain that affected Jesus. The pain was felt, but it did not affect him. That is because he rose above human-level politics and merged into Divine politics.

The legend has got now through history that Jesus died in such a way in order to save others from the smirches on their soul, from their evil deeds. This is an interpretation of what we are saying now that Divine politics, which as we said before, is the politics of love— of the loving bond between all people. That, in our impression, is the message of his life to the end.

Think for a moment of how many people suffered crucifixion at the hands of the Romans. More than a handful, dear ones. More than a few thousand, more than a few thousand, many thousand, over many, many, many, many long years. Every one of them was tortured. When you, if you follow this faith of Christianity, when you relate to the passion, the suffering or torture of Jesus, known as the Christ, you must, dear ones, not disconnect that, from all those who are not known as the Christ who were tortured as well. Their sufferings were in many ways greater, because most of them never rose out of the human politics. Most of them were not blessed with the Divine power that welled up inside the one known as Jesus to transcend this world, and to consciously choose to leave it in a way which was right for the time, and for all time.

So, we want to use this example, to make it perfectly clear to you: Your role in the political process, at the human level, is going to be just as fulfilling and just as frustrating, as your role in the relationship process at the human level. But your role in the political process as a Divine process is going to be as easy as your relationship with God.

When we speak to you in two months, on the second time we speak on the subject of the Divine aura,* we are going to give you an experience for the first time in the history of your western world. We are going to use the power of something that is called a mantra, a phrase to repeat to oneself, almost hypnotically, but not as a drone, not as a slave would repeat it. You choose to repeat it, in order to reprogram your mind and your heart. You forge a bond between the two, and this is the first mantra that will ever be given in the English language which has the power to reach you from this world into your hope for fulfillment, the divine experience of ecstatic, complete Buddhaic enlightenment.

We do not say this fliply or lightly. We want you to know that mantras are best recited in your native language, because your words ring truer, less romantic and more stark, in your own language. You are less likely to attach affect, or other kinds of pretensions to mantras of your own language. But more importantly, the thought-form of your world’s language, your English language form, requires mantras that follow that thought form to be effective. In the first session of that series, we will prepare you to receive that mantra. And in the second, we will give it.

We want to return now to the critical topic of politics. You are suffering as a human race. Right now, you have experienced some thirty-six, last thirty-five hours previous to this, a terrifying act of explosion. You know this? Everyone is aware. [Eon is referring to the Oklahoma City bombing] Let us tell you how you must think of acts like this, because you have all been blown to pieces by this also. And you cannot allow that to happen.

You cannot allow yourself to be destroyed. When four people take up guns, and roam the streets of a city, and they are in a band called a gang, four people are able to hold four thousand, or four hundred thousand people hostage with terror, with hysteria. We are not denying reality. We are saying that the terror comes from within, and it is a choice, an unconscious choice. But you can turn your conscious powers to changing that choice.

Likewise, this explosion that happened yesterday, killed many people, and it wounded, some very horribly, many, many other people. In all senses of the word, it is an awful thing. You were not there. You should not have been blown up. But many of you have been. You have watched the television box, which tells you over and over of the horror. And you are drawn into the scene, as though you were there. Also, there is an old pattern in most people’s consciousnesses that is attracted to tragedy. And so, you crave more information about the suffering.

We do not say these things to confront you, but to warn you, that the power of your mind can lead you into being a victim of an experience you have not been called to experience. As hard as it can be to understand, some of the people who were there were meant to be there. As senseless as this horrible thing is, it was in a way, in a sense, meant to happen. You were not there. You were not meant to be devastated and destroyed by that event. You must be strong. You must not allow yourselves to be blown apart by tragedies that happen outside your life.

This does not mean, be heartless. The mind plays a very difficult trick right now, it says, “What do you mean? Have no feelings? Have no sympathy, not care?” That is mental trick, to keep you on the path of being vulnerable. Dismiss it, because in the truth, you have God’s empathy inside you. You don’t need to manufacture any empathy, any sympathy, any feeling, because God feels through you, for all people.

No guilt should be experienced within you, that you were not there and did not die. No guilt should be experienced within you that you have a comfortable life for the moment, that you were born, some here, into this land. A land of outstanding, and ostentatious wealth, a land of incredibly overabundance-experience. A wasteful land. Also, a peaceful land. A land where the greatest asset is the relative calm in the society. That is so rare in the world right now. You should have no guilt that you are here. And, you should have no guilt that you were not in that bomb, or in other kinds of tragedies.

Dear ones, the true politics of your universe commands you not to take your hands out of this world, commands you to touch your sister, and to touch your brother, and to stay touching them in love, as you live through your life. Not to retreat physically behind the walls of your homes in fear, or in a sense of wishing to hide, nor to retreat spiritually by withdrawing your constant love from your fellow humans. As easy as it is to love, since you don’t have to do the love, God loves through you. That is how easy it is to be involved in the true politics. God is politically connected to others through you.

Now, dear ones, what about the earthly politics which causes you so much gnashing of teeth, temporary happiness, temporary pain? Isn’t the earthly politics indeed, the most Divine example of the shortcomings of attachment? [The audio tape clicks off. Eon guides in operating the new tape recorder] If— got both buttons pushed there?

Yeah.

Yeah. It’s a new thing, new machine. Machinery is wonderful. It can be a barrier or a tool, just like the mind.

If you’re attached to your president dear ones, you are going to experience great pain, because you are going to lose your president. In one way or another, you will not have the same president forever. Likewise, if you are attached to the political scene. If you feel that things are going well right now, you are approving of changes, you are going to be very pained, when those changes are erased. And, if you attach yourself to the erasure of these changes, you will also feel pain if that erasure is not as quick as you desire, or as long lasting, or as deep.

You are vulnerable to a tremendous amount of earthly shoving, this way and that, by the winds, if you only experience political life from the human level, and not the Divine level. Like the grass that is growing at the bottom of a stream, you flow with the current. But if you are not rooted firmly, you will be swept away by the current. Then, how hard is it for a blade of grass to find new rooting, once it finds it has been swept up? Nearly impossible. It can easily be done; but it is nearly impossible for people without help.

The rooting is the Divine politic. The politics of love. Your role in the political process is critical because, without you, this world will fail to achieve its own purpose. You were born on this world, because you were needed. Without you, this world could not exist. We want to repeat that fact because it is absolutely critical. You must understand, believe, or try to believe. It’s a hard thing to believe, that without you, you individually, yeah, we’re speaking to you. Without you, this world could not exist. So, since you are critical, and since you are here, for the world to exist, what then is to be done with this world?

Your civilization has gone through many eras, long periods of time. One era it has gone through is the Age of Fear. For five hundred years preceding this day, your whole world has been enveloped by a cloud of fear. This fear has permeated every thought of every person, every action, every love, every attempt at love, every life, from start to finish, has been touched, clouded, colored, shaped, molded and affected by the Age of Fear.

That Age is coming to an end. Within the lifetime of almost everyone in this room, a new age will come, and that age is the Age of Hope. In the Age of Hope, likewise everything everyone does, does, touches, sees, smells, thinks, feels, says, acts upon, wishes to act upon, from start to finish of their life, from birth to death, will be permeated and colored, and shaped and molded by hope. Hope is not perfect. But hope is much, much, much better than fear.

With this coming, dear ones, how can your human level politics really matter much? Well, we don’t want to deny that it matters. We don’t want to deny that many people are soon going to experience dramatic effects in their own lives, as a result of new political changes in your world. We certainly don’t want to take sides. There are so many of you, and only one of this one [gesturing to the channeler’s form]. He will be very vulnerable to your outraged feelings were we to express the absolute truth. So, we will color it with politeness, and we will be politic. We will be ecumenical. We like the donkey; we like the elephant. We like all the other non-specific, non-animal guided political affiliations. Shouldn’t they all have one? How will you know who to vote for, unless you see it?

Soon, people will not read; they must see the symbol. You are going to become more and more like many countries in the world. Your days of being the richest are over. You are not going to experience a sudden severe drop in your standards of living, so don’t panic. You will know what most people already know, that life is harder than most people here have felt. And that’s a gift. That’s a really great experience for you.

We want you to know that God put you here for a variety of reasons, but one of the most important of those reasons is, that you are here to complete your family. Without you, the world couldn’t exist. But by all means, without you, your family couldn’t exist. Now, when we say family, we mean, father and mother. We mean children. We mean sisters and brothers. We mean your grandparents on both sides, and your uncles and aunts, and your nieces and nephews, and all the family relations. We mean every one of them, and if any one of those ideas causes you pain, or you feel resistant to it, you will be resistant to being involved in politics in the proper and safe way for you.

People who get involved in politics in a way which burns them up, leaves them nothing but a pile of ashes smoldering, are those, often times, dear ones, we want to warn you, who have not yet completely felt bliss for every member of their family, and for having come in to complete this family. Those who throw themselves passionately and angrily into the work of politics, at the worldly level, without that rooting in the Divine politics, are to be loved and adored, and cherished and comforted, but by all means encouraged to leave politics, and enter into a healing relationship with their father and their mother, and all the members of their beautiful family.

You could imagine, when we mentioned that the horrible bomb was somehow meant to be, you can imagine, a part of you can say, “Yes, I can understand that. I don’t like it, but I understand it.” Turn that same understanding to your father and your mother. You were meant to be theirs, and they were meant to be yours. How much harder than a bomb blast is this sometimes?

So many people turn themselves, and their attention to the politics of the biggest world they can imagine— international conflict, because the real conflict is too impossible for them to imagine healing. “Ah, I will go fix the problem in Bosnia, because I cannot fix the problem in my own backyard.” “I will go fix the problem of world starvation.” “I will fix the problem of world torture.” Out of all the countries of the world right now, ninety-three per cent practice torture as an official unwritten policy.

We want to tell you, those efforts to solve starvation, torture and warfare, need you desperately. But you do not do any good there, if you are there because you don’t want to be somewhere else. If you are there because you are ready to be somewhere else, when you have wrapped up all the personal work, then you are priceless. You are essential. And it is easily done. It is not a matter of slaving away harsh year after year, trying to heal your relationship with your cat, before you can go do some good in the world. We don’t want to encourage you not to do the good work that your heart craves to do, simply because you may not have finished forgiving the tax collector.

There comes an obvious moment when you know you’re ready, and that is when you can think of each member of your family, with love, with concern, with healing power, with generosity, even though you still feel rage, or sadness and grief, or terror. If you can have both, not a balance, but both together, one hundred per cent all grief, one hundred per cent all love, then you’re ready, because then you’re alive.

When you are a young one, you get trained in politics, early. Father hits mother. Baby cries and goes uncomforted. There is no food in the house. There is illness, which spreads through the family, and is blamed on one or another member. The neighbors down the street don’t look like you. Your school is not welcoming to you. You have no friends, or you have many friends, and you are the star. This is called life.

You go through episode after episode experiencing difficult and wonderful things every day. And along the way, you begin to learn, because the mind is a fantastic sponge. It soaks up every experience. You begin to learn what politics is. How the human level relations work to achieve power. Now, power is a word which means something very different to God than it means to the mind. To God, power means peace and love. That is the only power God values. And that power is actually unstoppable. But to the human race, power means how to prevent someone from stealing my peace and love. Power means, “I am in danger, how can I defend myself?” 

Almost all attack is defensive in its inspiration. No one ever attacks another with their hand or their tongue unless they are afraid. And so, politics becomes a way to prevent yourself from dying at the hands of your fellow humans. Everyone has learned this very well, because this world is such a remarkably advanced, and yet at the same time quite pathetic world. It has achieved a high state of perfection in its illusory qualities. You believe that, if you are not liked, there is something wrong with you. You believe that if you are liked, there is something right with you.

You look to the world for signs, because the world has such a convincing power. It tells you that it has the signs you need to look for. So, everyone has, more or less, been trained by the world, by civilization and its history, and by this illusory place you’ve come to struggle with, to believe that the real politics is the politics of exclusion, the politics of protection, defense, armament, power in the human world.

There are few rare souls involved in that worldly politics who are firmly rooted in the Divine politics as well. Those souls have got a real advantage, because they are completely unattached to all their work. They pour more of their heart into their work and make more of a difference than those who seem to be sweating up a storm but are really going on the rat wheel. When you are filled with blind fury over some injustice, you are unlikely to actually create much effective civilization social world change. Unless and until you have ceased being blinded by your fury, and have channeled that rage into power: Divine power, you will not do anything except go around, and around and around, working up a big sweat.

Many people do this, and they use their sweat as a trophy to show you how hard they’re working. They don't see how much good they could be doing, if they had a place of peace within themselves in the midst of hell. Your world is hell. This is hell. But within you is heaven. You’re in hell, but hell is not in you. You can interact with hell in a very helpful way when you are touching the heaven in you.

Now, your political leaders often know this. They know it, and they use it to their advantage. They touch the heaven in themselves, and yet use that power for wrong reasons, use it to get more human-level power. When you have the power of the Divine within you, working through you, you can still be greedy in a human way. So, the Divine is willing to come to anyone who touches it. Those who touch it and use it wrongly will pay very high prices for that misuse. But they are called upon also to do that. They need to learn very harsh lessons.

It is not always public what goes on for public figures. Some of the ones who seem to be most confident are most tortured. Out of the various people who have already declared that they want to become your next president, there are four who are suffering severe internal torture, because they have used Divine power, and yet attached their own ends, their own greed to it.

There are myths regarding this exact story. And the myths arose, because in the ancient lands, politicians did the same thing. They used Divine power for greedy, personal purposes. Myths developed, folk stories, to warn you about this. Everyone should be willing to consider themselves capable of standing for public office, because the role of public office is a role of spiritual leadership.

You are all awakened beings here. You are not drowsy to the world. You aren’t living in a life where you don’t care who you are, you don’t care where you’re going, you don’t care what happens to your world. You do care. You may not know who you are, where you're going, or what’s going to happen to your world, but you really care. We want to tell you, we love your care, and all assembled spiritual beings love when you care. And if you care, you are qualified to be a spiritual leader in the world of politics.

You have many political positions in this town that are calling out for more people to involve them with. Not only the massive meeting of the town people, but also positions of influence and decision, various boards of decision, controlling this and that and the other. Most of them are underutilized and are being filled by people who are martyrs. Not that all of them are martyrs, particularly not those of you who are here tonight! But there are certain people involved who, rather than let the position go vacant, agree to continue with it, time after time. They get the gratitude of their fellow citizens, because then none of them has to do it. But are they doing well, are they a spiritual leader when they take on such a role for such a reason?

Better to let the position go vacant. Better to let the town sewers back up, and the filth pour in the streets to show people how uninvolved they may be. Better to let the lights go dark than to pay the bill for the entire town out of your own pocket. One does no good as a political, spiritual leader when one does those things of coddling and caring for other people’s responsibilities.

Civic responsibility at the town level is in our opinion the most Divine part of human political life. At the bigger level you get more people who are not dealing with their own backyard. But at the town level, people are in their own back yard. At the town level, at the community level, they are confronting their neighbor, so they are confronting themselves. They are looking in their heart for what it is they are willing to say, and they weigh the price of their truth, and the benefits to them of their truth. The cost of not speaking the truth. And then they speak their truth, and they experience the consequence. This is called real.

At the level of the big white town down south—Wallington? [The group laughs at Eon’s apparent trouble remembering the name of the U.S. capitol] Washington, that is really fantasy. They have too much of your power to play with. In our opinion, Washington should be put into big trailers, and taken to various towns, to do their work in front of you, to see you. They don’t see you there, so they think they’re playing, play government, play country. Even those who are well-meaning, good hearted, have good ideas in your opinion, they are vulnerable to playing country. We don’t mean they’re out of touch. That’s a cliché. We mean that they are hiding from the real. And there is an addiction to that hiding, an addiction to this security, the safety of not being real, that causes people to love being in that big white city.

Beware of that city. Beware of all the capitals of the world, because they are a long, long way from the people of the world. Many of the people who are doing good works in your world are not holding political office, but they are political people. You might call them political, but there are some you wouldn’t. Some you wouldn’t even think are political, because they are involved in the politics of God— extending love and concern to their sister and their brother. They are the most political of all. They may not even vote. They may not even care about who is or is not on their sewage board. You care, of course. You know the names of all of them. Of course, present company is always excepted.

When we were alive on the earth, when we were alive on the earth, we sometimes had position of tremendous power. Once we led a small army. We ravaged villages. We destroyed people’s lives. We destroyed their bodies. We took their things. That was a political act. But a political act, strictly of the worldly sense. We now are filled with such regret, but when we look at people who are politically involved for acts of good, eh, you distribute petitions to free prisoners in foreign lands, and in your own land. But when you do that only from a worldly perspective, you are doomed to be ineffectual. If you want to free someone who is imprisoned cruelly and unjustly in Peru or Pennsylvania, you cannot do it, unless you are political in the Divine sense. So, we want to be explicit with you about how to be that political.

All your power comes from God, dear ones. Stop thinking for a moment at least, that you have any power worth having. You are an instrument of God, just as this [recording equipment] is an instrument of human beings, which does a job. You are an instrument of God doing a job. Without a human, this would not exist. Without God, you would not exist. Without a human speaking to this [recording equipment], it would have no purpose. Without God speaking to you, you would have no purpose. This carries the human message to a machine. You carry God’s power to the world. That is it, cut and dried. So, why should this get into a tussle with that? Why should this get into a tussle with this? It is critical for your sense of well-being as citizens of your commonwealth, and we mean commonwealth as the world commonwealth. You must feel love toward all, particularly those who annoy you, frustrate you, enrage you, or toward whom you feel pity, because they are so out of touch with the real.

All of these people cannot be freed from the tape that is binding them up. The yards and yards of ego tape that is wrapped around them. They cannot be freed of it without your loving scissors. And unless they’re freed, they’re going to continue to make mischief.

So, let us start right now. Everyone assume a comfortable position and close your eyes. Imagine that below you, about twelve feet below your feet, below your seat, there is a molten mass of lava. It is yellow and red in color, and it is swiftly moving around in pools. Now, see the lava turning to a green pulsing color. Feel that green pulse coming up through the floor into your body. You are now filled with the green power. See it flowing into your heart particularly, causing your heart to open up and turn into a green light color, almost as though a green light is now lighted in your heart. When that light is lighted, take that green power and move it into your head, so that your head is filled with a Divine purple light. Keep both these lights going. Purple light in your head, filling it completely, and green light in your heart. Magnificent!

Now, expand the green light outside of you, so that it is at least three feet across, and you are in the middle of it. And expand the purple light so it is also three feet across, and you are in the middle of it. Now expand them each to be nine feet across. The green light is nine feet across, and you are in the middle of this green light. And the purple light is nine feet across. You are in the middle of the purple light. They are blending.

Now expand them to fill this room. Expand both of these lights to fill the room; the green light fills this chamber. And the purple light fills this chamber. See every person in this room covered with the light of your love. The green love light from your heart, and the purple love light from your mind, united in a decision to let God’s love pour through you to others. Feel that now. As you feel it there’s a tingling up, the top of your head that is a white sparkly light. Let that grow.

Now picture in front of you, almost as though they are in this room a political figure of your world whom you dislike very much. Picture two or three. See them and notice whether you are withholding the green love from them, and the purple love, keeping them in a bubble, or whether you are allowing them to experience it. If they are in a bubble, reach out with your love scissors and snip that bubble, and let the love power flow all over them. One after the other, each one of them, each one. Reach for those you have a tremendous distaste for. Conjure them up in your mind. Do not be afraid that thinking of them hurts you. It helps them, and you want to help them in this way.

Now see someone before you from historical past that you regard as evil, a deceased person, a political figure whom you regard as a very evil person. Are you willing to extend your love to them also? Notice whether you do. If you do, feel the joy, if you do not, reach out, and cut the membrane you have placed around them, and let your love flow to them.

Now dear one, see your family, see your father and your mother. Look first at the two of them. Again, notice whether they are wrapped in your love, purple and green love, or whether you need to reach out and unzip their protective covering, which you have placed there. And let your love in. Now see siblings, brothers and sisters. See each one of them. Check inside. Don’t assume your love is flowing. Check with your heart to be sure. See your spouse and let your love flow fully to them. And, see your children, each one individually. Many people think of their children as a mass. They are individual human beings. Give each one a moment of consideration. Are they filled with your love? If not, remedy the situation.

Now, dear ones, center in your mind on a purple point in the center of your head. This is the point from which all the purple light filling this room is radiating. Center in your heart on a green point of light. This is the point from which all the green power in this room is radiating. Amplify those points highly right now with the green lava that is flowing under this room. Pull power up through your legs, up through the chair, into your body, until each of those points becomes highly bright, a very, very brilliant green, a brilliant purple light. You need it to be small and blindingly brilliant.

When it achieves that brilliance, look down on this building from above and see your green and purple love light pouring out of the building, and beginning to engulf your entire community. See it happening. And as you see it now visualize it engulfing the region around here, flowing up the mountains, filling the valley with a pool of love. And now it is filling up so highly that it is flowing over the mountains down the other side, covering the entire area of your nation now with your love.

And now you need to amplify your power once again. Bring your God power to bear on this meditation. And focus your love on your entire country. Your nation, your nation. Cover it in your love. Without your love it is dying. Give every corner of it your power. Look for the corners where you're holding it back unconsciously and push it out there. Go to the places in this world where you know your love is required. And let it blossom there too. See them growing like mushrooms in little places around the world.

Your love power is beginning to sprout in the Europe, in Africa, in South Asia, in East Asia, in Russia, in Antarctica, South America. All over your planet mushrooms of your love are sprouting. See them growing until they merge. Notice where they began, and see them flowering, by blending into a solid sheet of green and purple color. And now move into space.

See the earth shrouded in your love. Now pump up your power once more. See the God inside you pushing your love out beyond the world to encompass your solar system. And from there, to encompass your entire galaxy. Visualize the Milky Way in blue, green, yellow, orange, purple and white light. And now all the galaxies of the universe. Touch them with that light.

Notice that you are in this room now. Notice that you are here, and when you are ready, take a deep breath, relax, and allow yourself to come back to the chamber with your eyes open.

We want to address your specific concerns dear ones. We have been speaking in generalist terms, because politics is about your entire civilization. But you each are individuals with specific worries, dreams. We endorse your dreams, every dream. No two dreams are ever in conflict at their pure state. If you are in political conflict with someone, you need to find out the pure state of your dream and their dream. Then you’ll have oneness.
